Pattaya beaches - Jomtien, Naklua, etc

The main beach is the long curving stretch of sand of Pattaya town. From its northern most point the beach runs south to the most southern location near the Royal Cliff Hotel. The water here is good for swimming, and a host of beach activities.

The northern most end of the Pattaya is the quieter, and just around is the much calmer and secluded Naklau Beach.

With fewer sea activities such as jet skis and banana boats this is far more appreciated by visitors hooping to relax. To reach the beach at Naklau, go past the Dolphin Roundabout and take either Soi 18 or 20.

At the other end, and round the headland at the most southerly point is Jomtien. Here, there is a mix of residential apartments, hotels and small housing developments.

The areas has become very popular with either long term visitors and expatriates. Something of a mixture of seaside activities and sun bathing, the beach is rarely crowded. Massage ladies prowl, as do the prawn vendors, but Jomtien is a much quieter experience than the main in beach in Pattaya.

Islands off The Coast of Pattaya

The small outcrops and islands off the coast of Pattaya have clear surrounding waters making snorkeling a great favorite for anyone wanting to see the coral.

Koh Larn is also known as Coral island, and lies about 8 kilometres off the coast. The best beach on the island is Ta Waen.

This is the most accessible island from Pattaya, with a ferry from the main pier, or speedboat services from the beach.

On Koh Larn the beaches are white sand, so this is a good alternative day out from Pattaya.

Other islands, further away from the main centre and Pattaya town are Koh Pia , Koh Kork and Koh Sak.
