Wong Amat Beach
Wong Amat Beach: this beach is located in the town of Naklau Beach, directly north of Pattaya.
This three kilometer beach is fairly narrow – in some places the ocean has washed away the brick walkway - but is clean and fairly quiet as there is no vehicular traffic on or near the beach, and luxury hotels block general entrance to the beach.
There are also no vendors or masseuses continually harassing guests as they are bunched, along with restaurants, into convenient kiosks at various locations on the beach.
There is also very little water sport activity, and there are no gaudy chains of buoys to protect swimmers from this activity.
Most of the umbrella and chairs appear to be available to the general public. The beach is definitely open to the public. At either end of the beach there are rocky, grassy hills and promenades.
The cluster at the south end is particularly impressive, and beach chairs and umbrellas are located amidst the rocks.
Farther south among the rocks, ladyboys appear to have set up a rendezvous and pickup camp so beware of going too far.
On can enter Wong Amat Beach via sois 16 and 18 off of the main beach road in Naklau Beach.
It is a fairly long walk down the sois to the beach.
